Hold and Mute (Article)

Place calls on hold, or your microphone on mute from the desktop softphone.

While on a call you can place callers on Hold:

  • Click the Hold icon, Screenshot 2023-06-29 at 12.56.02 PM, in the telephony bar or the Hold button in the media display. While on hold, callers will hear your default hold music.
  • Clicking the Hold button again will take the caller off of hold.

Mute

While on a call, you can place yourself on Mute: 

  • Click the Mute icon, Screenshot 2023-06-29 at 12.56.07 PM, in the telephony bar. Your media display will update, indicating that you are muted.

 

 

Note: If you are on a call and make another call, your current call will automatically be placed on hold.
