Internal Calling

Make internal calls to people inside your organization from the desktop softphone.


This guide explains the various ways you can contact colleagues within your organization using Contivio, whether they are contact center agents or part of the PBX system.

1. Using Extensions:

  • Quick Dialing via Extensions: You can type an extension number in the dial pad to quickly reach out to a colleague. This feature works for both contact center agents and PBX users, allowing for seamless internal communication.

2. Searching by Name:

  • Leverage the Contacts List: Instead of using extensions, you can also search for colleagues by name through your contacts list.
    • For example, if you search for a contact like Tyler, you will be able to see their current availability.
    • A colleague’s status (such as green for "Ready") is displayed in real time, so you always know whether they are available to take your call.

3. Placing a Call:

  • Dialing Options: Once you've selected a colleague from the list, you can simply click the green dial button to place the call.

4. Accessing One-Click Options:

  • From the Contacts Section, you can:
    • Reach out to colleagues internally with a single click.
    • Dial external users.
    • Access your personal phonebook or call a specific queue.
    • Save numbers to a speed dial or favorites list for quick access.
