Changing a User’s Password (Admin Portal)

As an admin, you can reset passwords for any user directly from the Contivio Admin Portal.

Note: A user’s password is shared across all Contivio applications — including the Softphone, IP Phone, Mobile App, and Browser Extension.
Changing it in one place automatically updates it for all.


Steps to Change a User’s Password


    1. Navigate to Users


  • Click the People icon on the left-hand navigation bar.

  • Select Users.

    1. Edit the User

      • Hover over the user whose password you want to change.

      • Click the ✏️ (pencil) icon to open the user’s profile.



    2. Go to the Security & Privacy Tab


  • Click the Security & Privacy tab at the top of the user profile.

  1. Enter a New Password

    • Type the new password in both fields:

      • New Password

      • Confirm Password

    • Click Done to save your changes.

Password Requirements

  • Passwords must be more than 6 characters long.

  • There are no additional complexity requirements (e.g., symbols or numbers are optional).


✅ Tip

If the user is logged in on any Contivio app, they’ll need to log out and back in with the new password for it to take effect.
