Sending SMS in Contivio

Contivio allows agents to send and receive SMS messages directly through the platform. Follow these steps to compose and send an SMS message.

Composing a New SMS Message:

1. Click on the SMS Icon:

   • From the home screen, locate and click on the SMS media channel icon to start composing a message.

2. Enter the Phone Number:

   • In the phone number field, enter the number of the contact you wish to message.
   • Contivio will automatically correct the phone number format for you (for example, you don't need to include the +1 for US numbers).

3. Selecting Your SMS Identity:

   • To change the number you're sending from, click on the Outbound Identity dropdown box.
   • Select either your personal SMS number or your shared company SMS line for outbound texting.

4. Compose and Send Your Message:

   • Type your message in the text box at the bottom of the screen.
   • Once your message is ready, click the Send button to send it.

5. Attaching Images (MMS):

   • You can also attach an image by clicking on the attachment icon and selecting an MMS image file from your computer to include in the message.

This simple process makes it easy to communicate via SMS directly within Contivio.
